 Services & Rates

Deep Tissue Massage

$60 per hour; 1st-time & regulars $50

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that goes a step further than Swedish.  It is a highly effective modality for releasing chronic stress and pain in problem areas due to misalignment, postural imbalance, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. If Swedish is "too boring," Deep Tissue is for you!  If, on the other hand, you've had a not-so-great experience with deeper work in the past, I encourage you to give it another try. Communication during the session is important, and soreness is not uncommon after treatment (be sure to drink plenty of water in the days before and after your massage!), but you should always feel BETTER overall after ANY kind of massage, not worse! Give me a try, and see if we can't change your mind. (And yes, you can have Swedish too.)

Gift Certificates Available!

$40 per hour

Gift certificates for massage are available at the EveryBODY Fitness front desk or from me in person. You can purchase certificates for any amount of time, but denominations longer than 60 minutes will need to be broken up into partial redemptions, as the longest massage I typically do is one hour only.  Gift certificate promotional value expires 3 months from date of purchase (time limit resets after each redemption in the case of partial redemptions); cash value never expires.  Redeemable for massage only.

Swedish Massage

$60 per hour; 1st-time & regulars $50

Swedish Massage is a style of bodywork dedicated primarily to relaxation -- it's what most people think of first when they envision "having a massage." Not that it isn't therapeutic! In today's fast-paced, high-stress world, the benefits of decreasing the fight-or-flight response, even for an hour once in a while, CANNOT be underestimated. Your Swedish session will use an array of strokes to relax the nervous system, improve circulation, and relieve stress. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility. (And yes, you can have both Swedish and Deep Tissue in the same massage.)

Hand-Blown Glass

NEW!  Now offering hand-blown glass art and functional pieces!  Limited stock on hand, but custom commissions are available; contact me for more details.  Prices vary by the piece, and must be paid in advance to finance studio time.  Possible items include drinkware, ornaments, seashells, and more!  I like doing massage, but glassblowing is my real love in this life.  Visit my "cloud nine" for yourself at Live Laugh Love in downtown Tigard (www.livelaughloveart.com).
